18-seater bus plunges into Kinnira river in Ogbomoso

An 18-passenger bus with registration number Oyo GBH 734 XB has plunged into one of the rivers in Ogbomoso, the second largest city in Oyo State.

Salient Times gathered on Tuesday that the bus fell into Kinnira stream Sunday night.

Our correspondent reports that no casualty was recorded.

Sources disclosed that the bus which was coming from the direction of Iluju was empty when the incident occured.

Only the driver identified as Mayowa was in the bus but he escaped.

A source disclosed that passengers had earlier disembarked from the bus following an earlier crash.

“But he eventually crashed the unoccupied bus into the canal of the river.

“He rammed into the railings of the river and fell inside.”

Although the bus has been retrieved from the river, the location of the driver has remained unknown as of the time of filing this report on Tuesday.
