The #EndbadGovernance protesters on Saturday temporarily blocked the convoy of Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers, insisting that he must address them.
The protesters regrouped on Saturday to continue the demonstration over bad governance and the rising cost of living in the country.
On August 1, Nigerians from various parts of the country started a 10-day protest.
The protesters converged at Pleasure Park in Port Harcourt, the Rivers capital, for the third day of the protest.
The protesters carried placards and waved leaves at the governor as they demanded that he come out to address them.
According to reports, the governor was allowed to pass after some moments, while the protesters continued the rally.
Meanwhile, the protest has been peaceful across the Rivers capital.
However, Damilola Adenola, director of mobilisation of the Take It Back Movement, one of the organisers of the protest, said the rally may go beyond 10 days.
Adenola said the duration of the protest depends on the government’s response to addressing the demands of the protesters
