The Chairmen, Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon Omolaja Ayodele Majekodunmi on Thursday named the newly constructed Kuto shopping mall after Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
The Chairman while commissioning the project to Mark his third year in office and end of tenure appreciated Prince Dapo Abiodun for the support in ensuring that the grassroot enjoyed the dividend of democracy.
He said the Local government under his administration has during the tenure, he has enjoyed the unwavering support of the Governor and this has inspired his administration to strive for excellence.
“The support is evident to all that our Administration has
been making a positive impact on our people by embarking and completing various developmental and laudable projects.
He also thanked “political leaders, other Excos the legislative members, and career staff for their collective
efforts in making the completion of many projects that the administration could do a reality.
He listed some of the projects commissioned to include
1.. A state of the art laboratory at our Health Center in Adigbe Area, which will significantly enhance healthcare services and improve the well-being
of our citizens.
- A modern shopping complex, providing a conducive environment for our traders and boosting economic activities of this environment and Abeokuta South Local Government and a whole located at Kuto.
- The sinking of a borehole, ensuring access to clean water and improving the lives of our people.
- The befitting and world standard conference room in the Local – Government Secretariat
- Improving the access road from Panseke to Oke-IlewO Would be highly
beneficial for the Local Community. - Another road construction up to the point of asphalt starting from Wema
Bank Oke Ilewo to Ibara.
He said the projects “demonstrate our commitment to the betterment of our
community, and we are proud to deliver on our promises to the glory of
God.
He urged the people to take advantage of the projects and utilize them for the betterment of the society.
“Let us make the most of these
facilities and ensure their sustenance for generations to come”.
Part of those who joined Chairman during the celebration and commissioning of the projects are the House of Repaentatives member for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Commissioner for Local government and Chieftamcy Affairs in Ogun State. Hon. Hazmat who also stood in for the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Chief Femi Majekodunmi, Chairman State Universal Education Board and many other political leaders from the local government area.
