He added that the visits were also used to discuss ways to enhance the socio-economic development of Yewaland, especially employment for the youths and security challenges confronting various communities.

Oba Olaniyan, who described the deliberations with Isiaka, Akinlade, Salako and IGP Egbetokun as fruitful, expressed optimism that the take aways from the meetings will further enhance unity and chart a positive way forward for Yewaland.

The traditional ruler further informed newsmen that the entourage could not meet with the senator representing Ogun West at the National Assembly, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola otherwise known as Yayi, due to his very tight schedule and time constraint.

He, however, said the monarchs had robust discussions with the senator via telephone conferencing, and he assured them that he will continue with his various developmental projects going on in different parts of Ogun West.

“I can tell you that we had fruitful deliberations during our visits to our House of Representatives members, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and Isiaq Abiodun Akinlade, respectively. Similarly, we were able to meet the number one police officer in the country who happens to an illustrious son of Yewaland, IGP Kayode Egbetokun and the Minister of State of Environment, Dr. Isiaq Kunle Salako.

“The visits were not in vain, but, indeed an avenue to have robust engagements with our own in Abuja. With what we were able to achieve during our visits, we will soon embark on a repeat trip with an aim to consolidate our discussions with the federal lawmakers, the Minister and the IGP”. Oba Olaniyan submitted.
