Chief Adeboye who is also the Oluwo of Ijeun said the domain of Oba Taofeek Owolabi̇ Kayode as Olu of Obafemi only stops at Obafemi Town, saying that he can not lay claim to Agboro or other adjoining towns as his domain .

Chief Adeboye who was reacting to the claim of Oba Taofeek Owolabi̇ Kayode that Agboro remains part of his domain said the monarch was a Village head for Obafemi before he was elevated to a Coronet Oba, and was recently promoted as a full Oba for Obafemi Town alone.

“It’s wrong for him to have gone to Agboro or other villages and be claiming their land

“I am from Adeboye village, he did not come from Agboro. He is from Isan- ijeun near Odo-ijesa very near Obafemi about 10 Miles away from Obafemi,

We are family. He should also not say he is from Agboro, so going there to sell their lands is illegal and condemnable.

Speaking on the claim that he has already bought Agboro land from a family in the village., Chief Adeboye said he should name those families that sold the land to him, and the documents to that effect.

He warned against illegal and forceful takeover of people’s land saying that the act is anti people and inimical to development.
