The Executive Director, Finance and Accounts of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Dr Mathias Byuan disclosed this in an interview with journalists at the thanksgiving service and grand reception in honour of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume at the NKST Mbawa in Guma local government area of Benue.

Dr Byuan said that the gesture is to ensure that all low-income earners in the country have access to shelter across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

“The Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved N2 trillion for the construction of affordable houses for all Nigerians so that the low-income earners can have shelters in their various environments in all the 36 states of the federation and the FCT.

Dr. Byuan said he has thrown his full weight into the project to adequately finance it without problems, stressing that President Tinubu has good intentions for the country and is working tirelessly to ensure before the year runs out Nigerians will see pockets of houses throughout the federation.

He commended Senator George Akume for his giant strides towards ensuring a united Nigeria and Benue State in particular describing him as an institution that cannot be deleted from the country’s constitution.

“You cannot delete the constitution, you can only amend, but when you amend you cannot leave the laws that existed it must be there.

“In Benue State, Senator George Akume is the leader of all of us including Governor Hyacinth Alia, we are the children of Senator George Akume. He has built the APC in the state and built a lot of people including the governor and all of us and he has no challenge any time the Senator is ready to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027 and we are ready and proud to be with him”.

Dr. Byuan implored Nigerians to pray for the President and Senator Akume to succeed in the onerous task of driving the country to the next level of development.

He commended President Tinubu for the people-oriented programmes he has initiated for the development of the country and pledged the unalloyed support of the people of the state to enable him to succeed in office beyond 2027.
