Davido, the Nigerian singer, has described the 2024 CNN US presidential debate as the “worst ever”.

The incumbent president Joe Biden went head-on against his predecessor Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, on Friday.

CNN hosted the debate.

Biden and Trump shared their perspectives on a range of topical issues including the Russia-Ukraine war and Israel’s bombardment of Gaza.

Other talking points were abortion law, taxes, medicare, inflation, Afghanistan, and America’s standing in the world.

During the debate, Biden’s arguments appeared weak as his speech was shaky, slurred, throaty, and incoherent.

This stirred several mixed reactions on social media.

Some netizens believe Democrats might have no chance in the November election again due to Biden’s performance.

Some others believe he can still make amends.

Joining the fray, Davido described the debate as the “worst ever” even though he identifies as a Democrat.

“Still a Democrat sha but worst presidential debate ever,” he said via a post on X.

Biden is the current president of the United States.

Trump, on the other hand, was US president from 2017 to 2021.

He lost his re-election bid to Biden during the last polls and challenged the outcome of the voting process.

His supporters infamously invaded the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021
