Mrs Grantham Anuradha, an Indian woman based in Nigeria, who joined millions of her compatriots globally to celebrate the 10th International Yoga Day, has declared that the 2024 edition will be permanently etched in the sand of times, as an experience she will always live to cherish.

Speaking of the 2024 Yoga experience, Mrs Grantham Anuradha said, “I am a proud Indian woman. I love my country and I appreciate Nigeria for giving us a peaceful space to live.
She said “the 10th International Yoga event is really amazing. After the aerobics, it gives me so much pleasure to do the Yoga dance under the watch of my Yoga Coach, Preeti Salgar”
“ Like most Indian women, I have a uniquely special affinity for yoga due to my cultural heritage; the health benefits: as well as its numerous physical and mental health benefits! The spiritual connections like meditation and breathwork appeal to me immensely; What about the flexibility, entertainment value, inner peace and joy that Yoga breeds? I can go on and on”, Anuradha enthused.
It could be recalled that On Sunday 23rd June, 2024 Indians and non- Indian Yoga enthusiasts trooped out in their thousands to celebrate the 10th International Yoga Day at the Cricket Court of Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) Onikan Lagos, where the Nigerian Celebration was held.
The Consul-General of India, Mr Chandramouli K. Kern, who received the participants expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Government at all levels, on behalf of the Indian Government, affirmed that the event offers a sense of community social bonding, which is highly valued in Indian culture, among other benefits.
Themed “Yoga for Self and Society”, Yoga had evolved over the centuries to be a veritable platform to foster individual well-being and societal harmony, global reorientation and its increasing adoption worldwide.
