The warring bigwigs of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, have agreed to end their rifts.

Stakeholders of the party in the area have been locked in supremacy battle which has divided them into two factions, one loyal to the Senator representing Ebonyi Central Zone, Ken Eze and the other loyal to Mrs. Euphemia Nwali the Chairman of the local government.

The state Chairman of the party, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha summoned them to a peace meeting .

The meeting which took place at APC state secretariat, Abakaliki the state capital had all the warring bigwigs in attendance.

Emegha told newsmen after the meeting that he had to intervene into the supremacy battle between the stakeholders as a father of the party.

He said “there is no father that will see crisis in his home and he will be happy.

“There were little misunderstanding between the leaders of our party in various levels. So, I felt that it was necessary for me to intervene.

“It was like family discussions, it was like correcting ourselves, it was like knowing what you are supposed to do, it was like I erred in certain areas and it was like I am sorry”.

On his part, the Senator representing Ebonyi Central Zone, Ken Eze said he and other warring bigwigs have agreed to embrace peace and commended the party Chairman for wadding into the crisis.

“All we just had here is just family meeting. In family, there are bound to be issues in one way or the other. It takes the wisdom of the father to take charge and call his children to order.

“So, that’s exactly what the leadership of the party has done today through the party Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha being our father and our leader, has called his children and talked to us and everything was resolved amicably.

“You can see the Chairman of Ezza South Local Government, Mrs. Euphemia Nwali beside me and other leaders are here and we are happy.

“With what we are seeing, there is new breath of life in Ezza South Local Government Area.

“Our supporters are already seeing us that there is peace now, there will not be any disagreement between our supporters to warrant discipline. We are going to charge them from this meeting to key into the peace initiative that the party has made”, he stated.

Chairman of Ezza South Local Government Area, Mrs. Euphemia Nwali said she has accepted the outcome of the meeting and was ready for peace.

He commended the state party Chairman for uniting the stakeholders, describing him as a man of peace.

She said “the state party Chairman is a father indeed, he is a man of peace. He has brought peace to us and there is no way we will disobey the party Chairman. Party is supreme, we must abide by what the party says.

“We have a party Chairman who is doing wonderfully well, who are we not to abide by his decision?
