The former minister for justice made this assertion during 63rd birthday anniversary of the former Governor Chief Samuel Ortom in Makurdi, asserting that he was personally encouraged by his administration.

He stated further after he disengaged from service when the government of former president Umoru Musa Yar,Adua was shortlived, eventually became rice merchant producing rice in sacks in large quantities.

According to him, soon as it’s ready his Government will purchase in large quantities it was deliberate policy to encourage massive production of rice and other yields For domestic consumption.
