Egba Heritage Defense Council has again said that the Governorship Candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the last governorship election in Ogun State, Hon Ladi Adebutu has no root with Egbaland.
The Council while responding to Adebutu’s reaction to the warning that he should stop misleading the people about his birthplace, said all the claims put forward by Adebutu were just a ‘fabricated story ‘.
Addressing a Press Conference in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital on Sunday, Egba Heritage Defense Council Coordinator, Dr Abayomi Arabambi said Adebutu should stop playing ‘an old system of politics’ and stick to his heritage, as the Egba has an history different from other tribes in Yorubaland.
“I read with dismay the empty campaigns of calumny and beer parlour press statement that was credited to one Afolabi Orekoya wherein he laboured in vain to justify one Mr Ladi Adebutu attempts to situate through a false proclamation of himself as a bonafide Son of Egbaland so as to hoodwink the Good People of Egbaland.
“The ranting would have been ignored but for the reason, to educate Ladi Adebutu through his spokespersons, Tunde Orekoya and Afolabi Orekoya
The duo claimed to know Egbaland more than my humble self, I Comrade Abayomi Arabambi ordinarily would not have joined issues with the Adebutu, but for the benefits of the few in the public who may innocently be mis- informed by his lies

Adebutu ought to have known that as far as 2027 Gubernatorial Election is concerned, the Ogun East has been red carded with respect to the first eight (8) meritorious years of my Leader and Former Governor of Ogun State Sen Gbenga Daniel and the current performing Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON) tenures which will come to a glorious end by May 29th 2027 after another 8 unprecedented and meritorious years
I stated without any fear of contradiction that Ladi Adebutu cannot smell, let alone take over the Governance of Ogun State from Egbaland as such a nonsensical lies can only be told to the blind so as to continue to deceive and milk them. I am too smart for such frivolities.
Even if you go to Odeda one million times, you cannot become Governor Ogun State. Not now; not ever!.as indigene of Egbaland as you will only continue to waste your father’s resources like a prodigal son Go and get prepared for 2051 Governorship Election
