Governor of Benue State Rev.Fr Hyacinth Alia has acknowledged the genuine efforts stride made in the early years by protestant Church introduced by Sudan otherwise known as NKST in Benue State.

Governor Alia explained in his early ambition to become the Governor, he consulted the leadership of the church to solicit their support and he was received overwhelmingly by the leadership and it’s congregation.

He spoke on Monday at the presidential Lodge in Makurdi, shortly after playing host to the synod secretary of of NKST Church Dr.N.A. Adure and other congregation

“Being a priest myself, and as their colleagues in God’s vineyard where we preach the gospel of religion therefore the contribution towards ensuring my success of becoming the Governor Alia today stressing their contributions can not be overemphasized, it is immensely for what they have done to him.

According to him the church made giant strides in establishing health delivery in the olden days and introduction of education by opening schools in the hitherlands for the natives of such settlement to received education and be conscious of awareness similar to Roman Catholic Church where he belong..

Fr. Alia frowned at the incessants attacks often times initiated by militia in those affected communities pledging everything humanly possible would be done to returned the Internally Displaced Persons in their ancestral homes.

He used the forum to commend the federal government in their resolved to collaborate efforts with his administration towards ensuring the early settlements as the case may be.

In his remarks Synod Secretary Dr Adure our visit is to solicit assistance for the facelift of our university., also implored the Governor to assist us in a bid to resuscitate health delivery services informing were handicapped in running due to lean financial status that’s while we came..
