LG Polls: BSIEC Engages Stakeholders On The Need For Free, Fair Elections

The Benue State Independent Electoral Commission Bsiec,s chairman Dr John Chen who spoke shortly after stakeholders Consultative meeting with journalists held at the weekend in Makurdi, disclosed the importance in order to forge ahead with the process kicked off the forthcoming councils elections in the State.

The BSIEC boss stressed it became necessary to dialogue with critical stakeholders involving politicians and the general public owing to their roles towards the polls.

He averred the turn out was impressive it requires a sustained collaboration between those concerned and continuous consultation as far as it deemed fit with view for optimal result.

It could be recalled that Governor Hyacinth Alia 0n the 29th March 2024 inaugurated the Chairman of Benue independent Electoral Commission Bsiec and seven others with charged to commence the process of fresh polls into LGAS Councils, resulting to these preparations.
