Following alleged death of some grazing cattle occasioned by poisoning at Alafara area of Ibadan in Ido Local Government area of Oyo State, the State Police Command has invited Fulani leaders and Yoruba community in the Area for amicable resolution of the incident.

Also, to allay the fears of residents in the area, security operatives have been keeping a 24hour vigilance on the area to prevent breakdown of law and order.

Some cows that were grazing in the area were alleged to have been poisoned. Alafara community is largely a residential area with a long stretch of stream where some farmers grow vegetables, corn and some crops especially during dry season.

Allaying the fears of residents in the area, the State Government assured them of its commitment to peaceful coexistence and safety of lives and property.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
