Open grazing: Gov Alia Gives14 day quit notice to herders

Benue State Governor Rev.Fr Hyacinth Alia has implored the Fourteen days ultimatum giving Fulani herdsmen to vacate the State elapsed.
Represented by his Deputy Governor Barr Sam Ode briefing journalists on Wednesday at Benue Government house in Makurdi, Benue State,
He explained the determination of Alia’s administration to ensure influx of armed herders is totally discouraged to leave and let citizens enjoined peaceful coexistence.
In his comment attorney General and Commissioner for Justice barr Fidelis mnyim has revealed that since no has repealed the ultimatum, we comence action towards enforce of anti- open grazing law to protect our citizens of constant harassment of encroachment on farmers harvest. therefore resulting to destruction and several loss of lives.
According to him, anyone who contravened Anti-Open Grazing Law would face the wrath of the law.
