Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Disability Matters, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has commemorated this year’s International Day of Education, While urging for partnerships to create an inclusive education environments for all citizens, especially Persons With Disabilities.

Hon. Abba Isa made this known on Wednesday, during interview with Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) in Abuja

Hon Abba Isa, therefore, emphasize the transformative power of education and the need for accessibility for everyone.

According to Abba Isa ” I highlighted the government’s commitment to inclusive education and called for collective efforts to build a society where every individual, irrespective of abilities, can learn and contribute. Regarding the National Disability law, I reiterated its provisions and emphasized the expiration of the 5-year grace period for making public buildings accessible to PWDs on January 23, 2024,”

” Underscoring the President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu directives to ensure compliance. Challenges to implementation include lack of awareness, negative attitudes, institutional barriers, and resource limitations.” Abba Isa said
