Christians in Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Monday, joined the world to celebrate this year’s Christmas with thanksgiving church service.

This is despite the unfortunate military airstrike that killed several people and left many others injured in the community early this month.

The Christian residents of the community were joined by their Muslim neighbours in the church service. They said they still have cause to thank God for being alive to witnesses the Christmas despite losing their loved ones.

Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani was represented at the church service by his Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who used the occasion to further commiserate with the people of Tudun Biri over the tragic incident that occurred on December 3rd.

The whole country was thrown into mourning as over 85 persons were confirmed dead in the strike, while scores were injured in the most recent military mishap.

Following the strike, the Nigerian Army apologised over the erroneous strike, reassuring that there won’t be a recurrence of such an incident but rights groups have condemned it.

President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sani also ordered a probe into the matter which threw the nation into mourning.
