Peller, a former member of the House of Representatives, presented the car to the monarch during a recent surprise visit to the palace.

Oba Adeyeri III succeeded the late Oba Salaudeen Ajinese I, who died in 2022 after reigning for almost 16 years. Oba Ajinese reigned from 2006 to 2022.

Oba Adeyeri III, the 30th Aseyin, had contested the throne with 11 other princes but emerged as the chosen one.

Earlier in his congratulatory message to the monarch, Peller expressed confidence that Oba Adeyeri III’s ascension to the throne would usher in desirable development for Iseyin.

Iseyin is regarded as the gateway to the Oke Ogun region. Some of its potential are the Ikere Gorge Dam and Ado Awaye Suspended Lake.

The bond between Peller and Oba Adeyeri III dates back to the previous generation. The late Professor Moshood Peller and late Oba Adeyeri II, who reigned as the Aseyin of Iseyin from 1978 to 1996, had a very cordial relationship. Their sons have continued in the tradition.

Oba Adeyeri III, until his ascension to the throne, lived and worked in the United States.
