Hon. Chinyere Nwogbaga Lauds Gov. Nwifuru For Restoring Pipe Borne Water Supply In Ebonyi

The Chairman of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly Committee On Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Chinyere Nwogbaga visited the Ministry of Water Resources where he commended the State Governor, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for restoring pipe borne water supply to some parts of the State.
As the chairman of the House Committee on Water Resources, Hon. Nwogbaga challenged the Ministry to see water as life and therefore report every areas of need for water to go round the State to her committee.
Others who spoke include Hon. Esther Agwu representing Ohaukwu-North, Hon. Godwin Abiri representing Izzi-West and Hon. Chikezie Igu representing Ohaozara-East all commended the State Governor for revitalizing the Ministry of Water Resources and called on the Ministry to toe the path created by the Government.
Responding, the Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Chinedum Nkah disclosed to the committee that as part of the rehabilitation process, Ezillo Water Scheme has been reactivated and that all other water schemes in the state has been visited and level of damages ascertained.
He called on surveillance in the water supply installations, condemned open-defecation in the state and implored the committee and other members of the State House of Assembly to enlighten their constituents on how to guard against vandalization of water installations.
