A woman identified as Sunday Damilola Christiana is fighting for her life in a hospital after her boyfriend of three years, Kehinde Olanipekun, hacked her with a machete in Owo, Ondo State.

The attack reportedly occurred on Monday, October 2, when Kehinde visited the victim’s house after she told him she couldn’t date him anymore because of his abusive behaviour towards her.

He attacked her with a machete, leaving her with deep cuts on her head, face, arms, thighs and other body parts.

Neighbours who heard screams rushed to Damilola’s apartment but the suspect allegedly threatened them with the machete and locked her up before absconding.

The victim is receiving treatment at Adelabu hospital in Owo, Ondo State.
