Ogun: Egba High Chief, Asiwaju Olakunle Uplifts Less Privilege, Donates Lock-Up Shops To Orile-Imo Community

A prominent Egba High Chief, the Asiwaju of Orile-Imo, High Chief Olalekan Olakunle as part of activities marking his birthday, over the weekend has uplifted about Fifty individuals with cash gifts and working tools.
Salient Times report that High Chief Olakunle also as part of his selfless service to humanity and contribution to the development of his community, donated 10 lock-up shops to market men and women.
The community leader empowered 50 widows and youths in the community with working tools such as hairdryers, sewing machines, grinding pepper machines, deep freezers, and motorcycles, among others.
Commissioning the lock-up shops, the Chairman, Obafemi/Owode local government area of Ogun State, Hon. Adeshina Ogunsola commended the donor for his philanthropical gesture.
The council chairman noted that community development is a collective effort, calling on corporate organizations and philanthropists to rise and contribute to the development of their immediate society.
Chairman, Obafemi Owode LG commissioning the lock-up hops on Saturday added that the council has erected a borehole water project, renovation of the health centre and construction of shops in the community which are due for commissioning in October this year.
Speaking shortly after commissioning another multi-million naira hotel, the project facilitator, High Chief Joseph Olakunle noted that the donation of the lock-up shops was part of his humanitarian programmes to the community.
Asiwaju Olakunle maintained that assisting the government through intervention schemes from individuals and corporate organizations would assuage the suffering of the people.
