Actress Faithia Williams has revealed that she would have missed out on being a part of the trending movie Jagun Jagun (The Warrior).

The movie produced by Femi Adebayo and co-directed by Tope Adebayo and Adebayo Tijani, features Lateef Adedimeji, Bukunmi Oluwasina, Muyiwa Ademola, Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Salami, Yinka Quadri, Ibrahim Yekini Itele, Fathia Williams, Debo Adebayo among others.

It tells the story of ancient warriors, kings and a cruel warlord who feels threatened by a determined young warrior seeking only power and the love of a strong woman.

Sharing her thoughts about the movie in an Instagram post on Sunday, Faithia said her management team convinced her to take the role.

“From the very moment, I held the script of “Jagun-Jagun” in my hands, little did I fathom the profound journey it would embark upon. While Femi’s visionary approach was evident, the depth and intricacy of his ambition for this masterpiece only truly unveiled itself on the silver screen.

“‘Jagun-Jagun’ is not just a movie; it’s a tapestry of emotions, dedication, and sheer artistry. A heartfelt salute to the post-production maestros, led by the impeccable talents of @anthills_ and @niyiakinmolayan, who breathed life into this vision,” she wrote.

The 54-year-old added, “By the way, I almost didn’t take the role but my management @thehypeagencyng led by @officialsamolatunji1 said I must take it. Today, I am glad I listened.”

To the producer, she wrote, “Femi, with each frame, you’ve not only set a new benchmark but also ignited a fire within us, pushing boundaries and redefining excellence. Because of you, mediocrity will never be in our vocabulary. Your passion is both infectious and inspiring.”

Faithia thanked the cast and crew of the movie for a job well done.

She assured that the “horizon promises even more captivating tales and cinematic splendours.”
