A popular music promoter, Chief Arẹmu Bamgboye a.k.a Ajiki-Olu, on Tuesday, paid a royal visit to the Olu of Ibeseland in Yewa South Local government area of Ogun State, Oba Oluwarotimi Oluwaṣeyi Mulero.

The visit according to the popular socialite and philanthropist, was to rejoice with the monarch on his emergence as the monarch of Ibese town.

Speaking at the Palace of Oba Mulero, Ajiki-Olu said he had known the monarch for a long time as a forthright and highly committed individual saying that his emergence as the Aboro of Ibeseland will further bring accelerated development to the town.

He said he decided to pay the visit one year after his official declaration as the Aboro of Ibese by the State government having established a cordial relationship with the King for a long time.

He assures all Ibese sons and daughters that Oba Mulero will not disappoint them while also calling on youths in the town to continue to promote peace through the use of culture.

He expressed concern over the waning interest among the younger generation in embracing the cultural heritage and values of their forebears.

Ajiki-Olu who is also a high chief in Ijeja, Abeokuta, while highlighting the importance of cultural preservation, appealed to the government at all levels to provide support to traditional rulers in uplifting and preserving the diverse cultures of various communities.

Responding, the Aboro of Ibeseland, Oba Oluwarotimi Oluwaṣeyi Mulero has assured that he will continue to work for the progress of Ibeseland and ensure that the town continues to enjoy the peace it’s known for.

Oba Mulero gave the assurance while playing host to his long-time friend and Music Promoter, Chief Arẹmu Bamgboye a.k.a Ajiki-Olu who paid him a visit in his palace in Ibese, Ogun State.

The visit which coincides with the celebration of his first anniversary as the Aboro of Ibeselan said he will continue to pursue agenda that will bring accelerated development to Ibeseland.

Speaking on the importance of culture to sustain peaceful coexistence among the people, Oba Mulero said if government invest in the preservation of cultural heritage, it would not only safeguard the identities of various communities but also create opportunities for tourism, economic growth, and international collaborations.

He expressed worry over the lack of enthusiasm by the younger generation and stressed the need for youths to understand and appreciate the historical significance and uniqueness of their cultural heritage.

He further maintained that the preservation of cultural traditions is not only crucial for maintaining a sense of identity but also for promoting unity and fostering pride among community members.

The monarch appreciates Ajiki-Olu for the visit confirming that the duo has remained a good ally for a long time.
