Ogun: Jisel Agro Ltd, Obafemi Community Partner On Agricultural Development
Jisel Agro Ltd has expressed its readiness to collaborate with the Obafemi Onijeun Community, especially in the area of agriculture.
The CEO of Jisel Agro Ltd made this known during a stakeholders meeting held at Olu of Obafemi Ijeun, in Obafemi Owode Local government areas of Ogun state.
He noted that the Jisel Agro Ltd company is a Canadian-based company and was on a mission to find out the opportunities in the local market in Nigeria.
“We are on agricultural outreach to try to find out the opportunities in the local market to do business and boost trade within South West Nigeria.
We are meeting with the good people of Ijeun Abeokuta today, under the leadership of Oba (Alh) Taofeeq Owolabi Olu of Obafemi Onijeun Egba.

He said, in times of Agricultural Development Ogun state is a better place for us to establish our company due to their nearness to Lagos and Oyo state.
“We are here to build bridges, make connections and see where we can make changes to move Agricultural trade between southwest states,” he noted.
In his response, His Royal Majesty Oba (Alh) Taofeeq Kayode Owolabi has expressed his willingness and readiness to collaborate with the Managing Director and CEO of Jisel Agro Ltd, especially in the area of agriculture.
They are looking for over 10,000 to 15,000 heaters of land for Agricultural Development and to prepare cash crops, Soya beans, cassava, maize and others.
Oba Owolabi explained that Orile – Ijeun has been in existence since 1830 and we’re spread across the three wards in Obafemi Owode Local government (Kajola, Ajebo and Obafe wards)
We in Obafemi Ijeun Egba are ready to partner with Jisel Agro Ltd because they’re planning to invest more in Ogun State than what they did in Osun State and Ekiti State.
Oba Owolabi, also explains that the land in question will be leased for some time and not a total sold to Jisel Agro Ltd company” he declares
According to Barr. Owolabi Adeniyi for Jisel Agro Ltd and Barr. Bakare for the Obafemi Community promises to be fair in all their process.
While commending the Monarch for carrying all his subjects along towards the development of Ijeun Egba.
Present at the stakeholders meetings including Pastor Agosu Peter Lawal, Lekan Olowe, Mufutau Sodiya, Alh. Adeleke A Aderonke, Surv. Aderogba, Alhaji chief imam of Obafemi and Obafemi council of Bales and Chiefs.
