Beyonce’s Mother Files For Divorce From Second Husband

Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, has filed for divorce from her second husband, Richard Lawson, after eight years of marriage.

According to TMZ, paperwork was filed by Tina on Wednesday, July 26, and she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

However, Tuesday, July 25 was listed as the date of separation from Lawson.

In the document, Tina requested that the court’s ability to award spousal support to Richard, or her should be terminated.

Tina and Richard got married in April 2015, but have no kids together.

Born Celestine Ann Beyonce, she changed her name to Celestine Lawson when she got married to Richard, and she reportedly wants to change it back to Celestine Knowles, her first ex-husband’s name.

Tina shares two kids with Matthew Knowles, her first husband. Her first daughter, Beyonce and her second daughter, Solange, who is a singer and actress.

Tina’s first marriage to Knowles ended in 2019, after 31 years together. They ended the union after she discovered that her first husband fathered a love child with actress Alexandra White.
