Unidentified gunmen have invaded the Lagos home of one Agboola Anuoluwapo in the Lekki area of Lagos State, shooting sporadically and leaving one person injured.

Their mission at the Ologolo Lekki home of Mr Agboola was still unknown, but an eyewitness said the assailants may be on a revengeful mission over the perceived role played by Agboola’s Sister, Mrs Agunbiade Temitope who was a Star witness in a case involving one Chief Adebisi Ige at Abeokuta sometimes in 2021.

It was gathered that though Agboola Anuoluwapo’s sister was not around when the gunmen struck, their house help was seriously beaten during the attack.

Our Correspondent gathered that the suspected assailants who were on the trail of Agboola’s Sister, Mrs Agunbiade Temitope traced her to Mr Agboola’s house in Lekki, Lagos State.

It was reliably gathered that the gunmen who numbered about four reportedly stormed Agboola’s home in the wee hours of July 11, 2023, and were said to have fired indiscriminately at the house.

Vehicles parked in the house premise were damaged while the main building was riddled with bullets.

It was gathered that the hoodlums brutally abused the house help, tied him down with a rope, and seriously beaten him.

Many of the properties in the house were also destroyed while the assailants were also said to be allegedly shouting for the whereabouts of Mrs Agunbiade Temitope, Agboola’s sister.

The house help who said the hoodlums allegedly revealed that they were after Temitope for her role in the sentencing of Chief Adebisi Ige to prison in a fraudulent matter at the Ogun State High Court.

He revealed that hoodlums were saying that if they should find any of the two, they will deal with them mercilessly since it was Mr Agboola Anuoluwapo that encouraged his sister to stand as a witness in the case.

When our correspondent visited the scene of the incident, some expended cartridges and a bunch of keys were seen.

In his account, the house help said the hoodlums stormed the house and shot sporadically at the main building in the compound.

He said the shooting lasted for almost one hour, adding that apart from the building riddled with bullets, vehicles and other properties were damaged.

He, however, pointed an accusing finger at one Chief Adebisi Ige, a high-ranking chief as the mastermind of the attack.

According to him, the attack is most likely due to her boss’s sister’s role in the sentencing of the chief to prison for committing fraud.

Only God will protect us in this country but not the police, ” He said.
