Ogun: Asiwaju of Orile Imo bags honorary doctorate
The Yahweh Hills University in South Africa on Thursday awarded the Asiwaju of Orile Imo, Obafemi Owode Local Government and Lisa Oloko of Orile Oko, Remo. Remo North Local Government, area of Ogun State, High Chief Dr Olakunle Olalekan doctorate.
The awardee who is also into properties and estate management was conferred with an honorary doctor of Art in leadership and property management.
Also, the Olu of Igbore, Igbore Egba, and Oba Dr Joseph Adeogun Ogunbona was awarded a doctorate.
The presentation of the doctorate took place at the palace of Olu of Orile Igbore, Siun-Ogere Road off Abeokuta- Sagamu expressway, Ogun state where many Chiefs, Baales and dignitaries outside the state were present.
The representatives of Yahweh Hills University who were also present at the event said that Dr Olakunle Olalekan has practically demonstrated goodness, adding that the award given to him was in recognition of his distinguished commitment to improvement and betterment of human life.
The University states “This is to certify that the powers conferred in the University’s Incorporation, career and Regulations, upon the recommendations of the Senate of the University, the award of honorary Doctor of Art in Leadership and Property Management has been conferred upon HIgh Chief Olalekan Olakunle Joseph
“With all the rights and privileges thereto to appertaining. In witness wherefore the Senate has authorised the University to be incorporated to the certificate, for which the graduate qualified in the year of Our Lord two thousand and twenty one
In his remarks, Dr Olakunle Olalekan appreciated the university for finding him worthy and conferred him with the award.
He promised to work with the University at all levels to enhance the moral and academic standards of the society.
