Hired Political Thugs Are After My Life–Woman Cries Out
Worried by her inability to walk round her community without been molested by political thugs,a female political activist has cried out for help.
The woman,Mrs Ochadu Flora raised the alarm in Abuja while speaking with newsmen on her experience in the hands of social miscreants,who accused her of stepping on political toes during the just concluded general elections.
“I was accused by some top political chieftains in Abuja, precisely in Kubwa where I voted ,that I worked against their parties during the election,and since then,it has been from one bitter experience to another,for me” she said.
Mrs Ochadu ,member of a catholic church in the federal capital territory said she was shocked to the bone marrows when suddenly some youths who,she suspected ,were political thugs attacked her house ,throwing stones into her compound,wounding her house help in the process.
“The youths said I was their target and that they were in our neighbourhood to deal with me for the role I played during the presidential election, when I openly campaigned for Labour Party”Flora pointed out
She noted that political thugs have made her subject of attack, after accusing her of being instrumental to the success recorded by the Labour Party at the Chief Palace, Kubwa 1 polling unit, where she voted.
The mother of three confirmed that she began to have issues with the suspected political thugs,as a woman,when was discovered to be the engine room of the Peter Obi /Datti election campaign team,stressing “since then I have had no rest of mind”
“After the election,I was accused of going round churches and market places on campaign of calumny against other political parties,particularly PDP and APC,an allegation,which to me ,was meant to put my life in danger” she said
Mrs Ochadu, added “I am proudly Obidient, and it is not an understatement that I worked for the party of my choice since the Nigerian constitution guarantees freedom of association and expression”,
She explained that severally she had to contend with threats from some miscreants who openly tormented her on the streets, telling her that she was no longer safe.
“It will interest you to know that I am no longer safe in my residence and I now live with palpable fear and anxiety,” Flora said, noting that thugs have vowed to attack her and her family, anytime and wherever they sighted them.
She added that in the last couple of days, she and her children have had no rest of mind for fear of possible attacks, stressing “I have been noticing strange faces and movements around our residence. Early last week, I noticed some youths who converged on our street in groups, discussing and pointing at me as I drove into our compound.
