The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council has joined the rest of the world to celebrate the former Governor of Ogun State and Senator Representing Ogun Central at the Red Chamber, Senator Ibikunle Oyelaja Amosun on his 65th birthday .

In a release jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Council, Comrades Wale Olanrewaju and Bunmi Adigun, NUJ said SIA, as he is fondly called, has always been in a different class – a class distinguished by examples of personal discipline, generosity, compassion, hard work and unbendable principles.

The Union said, “Either in private or public life, the two term Distinguished Senator, is very much atypical. From his sartorial preferences to leadership style, he stands pretty tall and far away from archetypal lot.

“This special day avails us an uncommon opportunity to celebrate his resourcefulness and astute mindedness which have made him a brilliant leadership and an achiever par excellence.

So, on this auspicious day, we pray Almighty Allah grant him his heart desires, His continued guidance and abiding grace, as He keeps him in excellent fettle for impactful service to the State, Country and humanity at large.
