RMD, the veteran actor, says he would like to play the role of God in his next project.

The film star, born Richard Mofe-Damijo, reflected on his movie career in a chat with Netflix Naija.

RMD said the most exciting thing to him as an actor is to contribute to the growth of the industry.

“The most exciting thing for me about being an actor in Africa would be the privilege of contributing to the growth of the industry while fulfilling my lifelong dreams of being an actor. It is also the fact that it opens me up to a world of friendships and connections even the most unlikely people,” he said.

When asked what role he would like to take up in his subsequent projects, the ‘Diamond Ring’ star said he wants to feature as God.

“God, just give me the role of God but seriously I find every role as peculiar and dynamic as the next irrespective of how challenging or not it might seem. I approach every role with a fresh perspective,” he said.

RMD added that his ambition is to sustain his personality in the industry and life generally.

“To consistently be an ‘oh wow’ person, not just in my craft but in all ramifications. I want to not be a typical Nigerian in the negative light that we have sadly been stereotyped but to shine forth as a beacon of integrity and honesty as much as it is within my capacity to,” he said.
