President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Senate Committee Chairman on Defence.

Buhari noted that the loss of a wife and mother of children, “is particularly a deep pain to handle”.

All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, also expressed his condolences on Wednesday.

The former Lagos governor stated that he received the news with deep sadness.

“On behalf of my family, I express my deepest condolences to the former governor of Sokoto and his family”, he said.

Tinubu prayed Almighty Allah to comfort the family and grant the deceased Alijanna Firdaus.

Ex-Kano governor and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso also extended his sympathies to Wamakko.

Atika died just over two years after the death of the lawmaker’s daughter, Sadiya.

In March 2021, gunmen abducted and killed his personal assistant, Abba Abbey Gidan Haki, in Sokoto.
