Ogun Head of Service urges civil servants to remain patriotic, dedicated
Civil Servants in the Ogun State Civil/ Public Service have once again been reminded to make patriotism, dedication and commitment to duty their watchwords in the discharge of their official duties.
The Head of Service, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro gave the reminder while on an unscheduled familiarisation visit to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) within the government secretariat at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
According to him, the unscheduled visit was intended to check on them to ensure that the right tenets of the Civil Service that Ogun State is known for are upheld, and these he met intact as the workers didn’t disappoint him.
He urged the workers to continue to display efficiency and effectiveness in all they do and keep showing unwavering support and loyalty to the government of the day.
“This visit was to ensure that our workers are up and doing and as well carry out their duties according to laid down rules and regulations of the Civil Service” Dr. Aigoro said.
Receiving the Head of Service at the Ministry of Forestry, the Commissioner in charge, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun appreciated the visitor for breeding professionals who know their onions and revealed that he is pleased with the crop of officers he’s working with and urged them to keep the flag flying.
Also at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Commissioner, Hon. Adijat Oladapo-Adeleye, lauded the Head of Service for the visit and assured of continued synergy between the political heads and the Civil Servants.
In the HoS’ entourage was the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Service Matters, Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye, his counterpart from the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Mr. Jola Oyeneye, directors from the Bureau of Service Matters, Mr. Oyebanji Omoniyi, Mr. Abubakar Adeduntan, amongst others.
The MDAs visited included Ministries of Urban Development and Physical Planning, Housing, Works and Infrastructure, Forestry, Culture and Tourism and Agriculture, as well as Bureau of Electrical, Engineering Services (BEES), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) amongst others.
