….Stakeholders Pledge Unity Ahead of Elections
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun State has announced the reinstatement of Otunba Dr. Femi Soluade as the party’s State Chairman, marking a significant step toward resolving recent internal leadership disputes.
The decision was reached during a peace accord meeting held in Abeokuta on Monday, February 16, 2026, where party leaders and critical stakeholders gathered to deliberate on reconciliation and party stability.
In the official statement signed by Hon. Olumide Onabajo, the Party State Publicity Secretary, said the meeting was well attended and featured extensive discussions focused on rebuilding trust, strengthening internal cohesion, and repositioning the party for improved political performance in the state.
Following what Onabajo described as exhaustive deliberations, the State Executive Committee resolved to formally recognize Soluade as the duly elected and legitimate State Chairman of the party moving forward.
The meeting also produced resolutions aimed at ending lingering factional tensions that had affected party operations and grassroots mobilization efforts across several local government areas.
In a related development, the party announced the reinstatement of H.E. Jimi Lawal and Hon. George Taylor, reversing earlier suspension decisions taken against them.
According to the party spokesperson, all previous suspension notices issued against the two leaders have been cancelled and declared null and void, restoring them fully into party leadership and stakeholder engagements.
Onabajo described the reinstatement as part of broader reconciliation measures designed to strengthen unity and restore confidence among party members and supporters across the state.
