Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, at least four support groups backing the presidential ambition of Dr. Gbenga Hashim have converged in Kano State, pledging to intensify grassroots mobilisation to ensure the realisation of his aspiration.

The groups, which held separate meetings before a joint convergence, declared that they would no longer support politicians who merely use followers as stepping stones to power and abandon them after securing electoral victory.

They expressed strong confidence in Dr. Hashim’s leadership capacity, insisting that his emergence as President would place Nigeria firmly on the path of sustainable development, peace and national progress.

The support groups include the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, led by Hajiya A’isha Mustapha; the Gbenga Hashim Group, led by Miko Isyaku; the Gbenga Hashim Support Group, led by Khalifa Muhammad; and the Gbenga Hashim Vanguard.

At the meetings, the groups passed unanimous votes of confidence in Dr. Hashim and urged their members to return to the grassroots to mobilise broad-based support for his presidential bid ahead of 2027.

Addressing supporters, the National Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, Abdulrazaq Hamza, commended members for their commitment, describing Dr. Hashim as a prepared and capable leader with the requisite experience to lead Nigeria.

“We should continue to mobilise support for Dr. Gbenga Hashim. He has advised and assisted governments in several countries to achieve economic growth and development,” Hamza said.

He added, “If he becomes President in 2027, he will undoubtedly provide the quality leadership Nigerians are yearning for.”

Also speaking, the North-West Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Vanguard, Aminu Bala, emphasised the need for inclusiveness, urging support groups to engage and welcome Nigerians across party lines to expand the aspirant’s support base.

Bala described Kano as a strategic political hub, noting that its support could significantly influence other states in the North-West and beyond to rally behind Dr. Hashim’s presidential ambition.

On his part, the Chief of Staff to Dr. Gbenga Hashim, Mr. Kamaldeen Sani Adebayo, said the aspirant’s record as a successful global businessman with investments in Nigeria and several other countries qualifies him for the nation’s highest office.

Adebayo conveyed Dr. Hashim’s goodwill message to the support groups and assured them of his commitment, stressing that they would not be abandoned if he eventually emerges as the democratically elected President of Nigeria.

In her remarks, the Kano State Coordinator of the Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement, Hajiya A’isha Mustapha, charged coordinators across the state’s local government areas to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 election.

She urged members to remain united and focused, noting that sustained grassroots engagement would be key to securing victory for Dr. Hashim.

The convergence also featured goodwill messages from leaders of the various support groups, all of whom reaffirmed their resolve to work collectively towards the success of Dr. Gbenga Hashim’s presidential ambition.
