A 43-year old man, Eghosa Osas, has been reportedly killed by his childhood friend, Amadin William, in Oben community in Ikpoba-Okah Local Government Area of Edo State.
The deceased who was said to have returned from abroad to celebrate Christmas with his family, was said to have been attacked and killed at Oben community where he attended a house warming party.
Confirming the incident, Edo State Police spokesman, Eno Ikoedem, said the case was reported by an elderly brother of the victim.
She said Eghosa excused himself to ease himself when the suspect cornered and inflicted a machete cut on his neck.
Ikoedem said the suspect fled and was later arrested in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
She further stated that the suspect would soon be charged to court.
