A man was seriously injured after being attacked by members of a community following the alleged sexual assault of his girlfriend’s five-year-old girl.
The incident occurred in eThekwini – KZN, South Africa on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 18:11 after a member of the public reported the incident involving a minor.
On arrival, residents informed Reaction Officers that they interviewed the child and established that her mother had fallen asleep after consuming alcohol on Sunday afternoon.
During this time, her mother’s boyfriend is alleged to have sexually assaulted the minor.
“While attending to the complaint, Reaction Officers observed a group of community members assaulting a man nearby. It was established that the individual was the alleged suspect in the sexual assault. He sustained serious injuries during the mob attack,” RUSA stated.
The suspect was later handed over to the Verulam SAPS in KZN for further investigation
