The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS) 94/99 Set of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, in partnership with After God’s Heart Incorporated (AGH), has announced the completion and forthcoming inauguration of a multi-million naira Mini Community Library for the benefit of students and residents of Abeokuta North Local Government Area.

The Mini Community Library, situated within the Abeokuta North LGA, is designed as a modern, student-friendly learning centre furnished with reading desks, bookshelves, study materials, reference texts, and other essential educational resources.

Sponsored by After God’s Heart Inc. (AGH) in collaboration with the AMACOS 94/99 Set, the facility aims to bridge learning gaps, promote a culture of reading, and provide a safe, conducive space for young learners. The project forms part of the Legacy Projects marking the group’s three decades since graduation, themed #30YearsOfFriendshipAndTogetherness, reinforcing their commitment to educational development in Ogun State.

Speaking on the reunion activities, the Chairman of the Reunion Planning Committee, Lady Lolade Akokhia, explained that the programme includes courtesy visits to the Mass Communication Department of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) for the inauguration of an advertising studio and ARCON accreditation initiative, alongside a joint gift presentation to non-academic staff. She added that the group will also visit the Rector of MAPOLY, attend Jumat service, visit the Abeokuta Correctional Centre, commission the Mini Library, and conclude the day with a “Reconnect & Refresh” evening event.

Activities on Saturday will feature a FunFest at Olumo Rock, followed by the Reunion Launch and Adire Rendezvous, which includes a red carpet reception, awards ceremony, and swearing-in of new executives. The three-day reunion will end on Sunday with a thanksgiving service before members depart. According to Lady Lolade, the programme aims to strengthen professional ties, reconnect old classmates, and reaffirm the group’s commitment to community development and educational advancement.

Commenting on the partnership, Chairman of AGH, Dr. D. Olawale, said the initiative is inspired by a shared passion for youth empowerment and academic excellence. “The Mini Library is designed to provide students with access to quality learning materials, especially as they prepare for major examinations such as WAEC and JAMB. We are delighted to collaborate with AMACOS 94/99, a distinguished group dedicated to community growth,” he noted.

Our gratitude also goes to the Abeokuta North Local Government for providing the space that made the Mini Library possible.

“This partnership showcases the power of collaboration and our collective resolve to give back to the community that nurtured us,” he added.

He further described the library as “a legacy gift from our set—one that will inspire future generations and support countless young learners for years to come.”

The Mini Community Library will be officially inaugurated on Thursday, December 11, 2025, with the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government serving as Special Guest of Honour.
