Suspects microwaved chicken, ate, washed it down with cool drink during burglary

Suspected burglars feasted on chicken and cool drinks during a burglary in South Africa.

The incident happened on Saunders Circle in Tongaat – KZN on Thursday afternoon, October 30, 2025.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the property after receiving reports of a break-in.

On arrival, Reaction Officers found that the suspects had forced open the rear door and burglar gate to gain entry.

The house was ransacked, and items including a flat-screen television, an air fryer, and cash were taken.

The suspects also consumed chicken and drank cool drinks.

According to RUSA, the suspect used the microwave to heat the food.

They also attempted to remove the fridge but did not succeed.
