Actress Rita Daniels has come under fire on social media after posting a video of herself dancing with her son Sammy West amid her daughter Regina Daniels’ ongoing marital crisis.
Rita shared the clip on Instagram on Friday, showing her and Sammy dancing and laughing together. She captioned the post, “Mama testing the microphone with her drumbeat @sir.sammywest”
The post quickly drew criticism from fans who felt the timing was insensitive, given the reports surrounding Regina’s marriage.
Maris Duru wrote, “You no just get shame. Them dey beat your pikin for marriage wey you force her enter and you get the audacity to come here come dance!! You failed her as a mother!!!”
Chi Baby said, “Daughter dey cry, mama dey dance, ok oh.”

The video surfaced days after Regina Daniels sparked concern online with a viral video in which she appeared emotional while speaking about her marriage to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
In the clip, Regina said, “In Ned Nwoko’s house I’m nothing, but in my house I’m a queen. I can’t stand the violence.”
Ned Nwoko has since denied claims of domestic violence. The businessman alleged that Regina was battling drug and alcohol abuse, which he said affected their relationship.
Neither Regina nor her mother has publicly addressed the controversy.
