The Abia State Police Command has arrested a 35-year-old man, Nwogu Nnamdi, for stabbing his brother to death over a misunderstanding.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, disclosed this during a press briefing at the command headquarters in Umuahia on Friday, September 19, 2025.

“On 29/07/2025 at about 1930hrs we received a report from Uratta Divisional headquarters that one Nwogu Nnamdi male” 35yrs of Nwagbara street Umuikpo Aba stabbed his brother, one John Nwachukwu with knife on the stomach, over a misunderstanding,” the CP stated.

“The victim was rushed to Abia State Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) Aba, where he was confirmed d3ad.

“The suspect was arrested, Investigation is ongoing at SCID.”
