The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Yitwatda, on Wednesday declared that the party will do everything to secure victory in Bayelsa during the forthcoming 2027 general election, as the state is important to the party.

Represented by the APC Deputy National Chairman (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu, reiterated stated that the state is important and dear to the party, so whatever must be done to win the elections must be done.

Speaking during the 12th Expanded Stakeholders meeting and endorsement of President Tinubu as Sole candidate of the APC at the state’s Secretariat, Yenagoa.

He also appeal to all warring factions to shealth their swords for the interest of the party, adding that the reconciliation efforts by stakeholders of the party in the state will soon be complimented by the National for the interest of all.

“We will ensure that the interest of the party is managed. Bayelsa is important to our party, and we must do whatever we have to do, for the victory of the party in the state”

We have a very good candidate in the President and that is why the South South Governors has taking the lead to join our party in support of the President for his reelection. Other state governors in other regions that are not in our party will soon join us, so that of the President is returned everything will go smoothly.

He is on the move to take Nigerians to the promise land, and the only way to achieve this is in unity. The leadership of the party in the state need to eschews more tolerance and carry everyone along.

And I want the former Governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva to personally lead the reconciliation so we can achieve the unity we desire. Forget all differences and bring everyone together.

According to the Former Governor and immediate past Minister of state for petroleum, Chief Timipre Sylva, the National hasn’t been fair with the party in the state, adding that if we had the support of the National we would have achieved more than what we have done since the existence of the party.

He said “We did well in 2023, but not what we expected. Today we are more ready than ever before. The only thing we lack is support from the party at the national level, with your support we are the strongest, nobody will be able to stand us in elections.

2027 is already a done deal, of we have the support of the national leaders of the party.

Earlier, Chairman of the Party at the state, Chief Dennis Otiotio, said the meeting was to critically appraise the performance of the President and also adopt him as the sole candidate of the party for the 2027 Presidential election.

In his brief, MD/CEO NDDC, Chief Samuel Ogbuku, notes that people thought the party was no more in existence, but today the NWC can see that the party is alive and strong.

He disclosed that reconciliation is on and those in charge are doing well, noting that today the party has members in the state who are hungry for victory.
