
The Ogun State chapter of African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally received a delegation of factional leaders from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led by Alhaji Abdulwaheed Oloruntola Salisu.
The new entrants who are mainly from the Ogun West and Central Senatorial districts were led by Alhaji Abdulwaheed Oloruntola Salisu, Hon Akindele Yisa, from Ifo and Yewa Zone and National Youth for Atiku group from all the Zones of the State.

Welcoming the new entrants into the Party, the Chairman of ADC in Ogun State, Otunba Femi Soluade said the Party remains the only alternative to the misrules of the All Progressives Congress, describing the new entrants as a joint owner of the Party.
He emphasized that the ADC is the true home for progressive-minded individuals seeking purposeful governance and development for Ogun State.
Otunba Soluade said that the decision of the newcomers to join the ADC is a testament to the party’s robust ideology and its commitment to providing a viable alternative for the people.

He promised to be fair to all promising that all will be accommodated within the party and given their due respect.
A highly elated Femi Soluade expressed joy while noting that the Party is ready to take over governance from APC in the State and Nigeria in general promising that under ADC controlled State, development will be felt in all the nooks and crannies.
He said, “ADC will take over governance in Ogun State, and of course, we know what the people and the State need, so we know where to start. The State is in total neglect, all developments have stopped, and we will reignite the engine of growth and development in this great state.
Speaking on behalf of the newcomers, Abdulwaheed Oloruntola Salisu said they decided to join ADC because of the Party’s integrity, clear vision, and people-oriented policies.
He said the move signifies growing confidence in the ADC’s vision and leadership.
He vowed to rally all members and embark on grassroots mobilisation so as to woo more people into the Party.
He expressed the commitment of all groups that had decided to join ADC in Ogun promising to work tirelessly to ensure the party’s victory in future elections.
Others that also joined the Party are Alhaji Salisu Abdulwhaheed, a factional group leader under Hon. Sikirulah Ogundele led PDP, who defected with his group from across the 20 local governments area of the State, the Atiku Support group led by Femi Victor from Ifo /Ewekoro constituency ably led by Hon Kazzim Adelani, a former House of Assembly aspirant under PDP who recently resigned from the PDP.
Also among the defectors are Nigerian Youth for Atiku, Women’s Wing, led by Femi Victor under the Leadership of Hon Dr Mrs Abiodun Omolara Williams.
