Ahead the August 16th by-election for the House of Representatives Election for Remo Federal Constituency, a former Lawmaker, Hon. Barrister Solomon Osho has vowed to contest for the position under the platform of African Democratic Congress, ADC.

With a by-election slated for August 16, Osho’s party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), will conduct its primary election soon, and he is optimistic about emerging as the party’s candidate.

Osho’s decision to run for office is rooted in his extensive experience serving his people. He previously served as a councillor and leader of the house at the Remo North local government council from 2012 to 2015.

Additionally, he represented Remo North in the House of Assembly from 2019 to 2023. According to Osho, his constituents believe it’s time for him to take on a higher role and provide better representation at the federal level.

Osho expressed enthusiasm about contesting under the ADC platform, citing the party’s emphasis on justice, fairness, and consolidating Nigeria’s democracy.

He added that he believes his personal ideas and philosophy align with the party’s ideology, making it an ideal platform for him to serve.

Speaking on his previous work done through his foundation, Osho declared that he focused on promoting education, youth development, and capacity building over the past 12-15 years.

He disclosed readiness to leverage this experience to assist people, particularly the youth, and ensure they are gainfully employed.

He noted that as a representative, he aims to provide better representation at the National Assembly and advocate for the needs of his constituents, especially with the ongoing clamor for state creation.

Osho appeals to his constituents to support him, assuring them that his track record is a testament to his commitment, while promising to do better and not disappoint them if they support his candidacy.

His words “What prompt my ambitions is I have always serve my people, I was once a councillor and the leader of the house at the Remo north local government council, between 2012 to 2015, my people also sent me to the House of Assembly representing Remo North between 2019- 2023 and my people felt like it is time for me to go higher to give them a better representation at the federal level, so they thought right that I’m the right person for the job to represent them at the federal constituency.

” ADC is the best platform at this moment, their ideology is all about justice, about fairness and consolidating on Nigeria democracy beyond the flood election so my personal ideas and philosophy that is what it stands for , so I’m very happy in contesting under this platform”.

“For the past 12-15 years now I have a foundation I do, which actually focuses on education we believe in promoting education, developing youth amd capacity development so, because of my antecedent I’m just going to leverage on that to do more, by assisting people, the youth and making them gainfully employed and give my people a better representation at the National Assembly, now that we are clamouring fir state creation I’m goin to be a good voice for my people to advocate for what my people actually need so I’m going there to represent them . Well I’m just going to appeal to my people and assure them by looking at my antecedent and I promise do more, my antecedent is my testament and I promise them I’m going to do better I’m not going to disappoint them if the my actually support me”.
