Rev Adeya, Founder and General Overseer of Endtime Body of Christ Ministries worldwide, bade the world bye on Monday May 5, 2025 at age 87.

The Ilaje, Ondo State-born Pastor was widely believed to have served the Lord faithfully for over 67 years having been fully involved in touching countless lives and vigorous church planting spanning locations across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Edo and Delta States.

Described as a man of monumental impact who preferred a low profile nature, the departed vessel of the Lord was born on March 8, 1938 at the sleepy riverine town of Obinehin in Ilaje Local Government Area.

In an autobiography written by him, Rev. Adeya had remarkable divine encounter with the Lord Jesus less than one month after he secured admission into the University of Ibadan in September 1967, which to him, altered the direction of his life, giving him a meaning for existence on earth.

Rev. Adeya told his own story: “At the University of Ibadan, I met my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. This divine encounter took place at the beginning of my University career. It changed my view of life and from that time on, I see life in terms of eternity in heaven.

“On getting to the University, I became a member of the Ibadan Varsity Christian Union. God in His sovereign will led me to give my life to Jesus on October 22nd, 1967. Joy of heaven flew in and filled my heart. I was filled with unspeakable joy and glory. I can still remember that experience as if it were yesterday.”

By career calling, Rev. Adeya, being a teacher and educator, has taught in several secondary schools and as well a Principal in many schools including Ilaje Grammar School, Atijere.

On his family life, the departed veteran preacher had this to say: “I thank God for giving to me Miss Tinuke Johnson who became my wife. She has to all intents and purposes become my wonderful helpmate, a companion, my best friend and best adviser. Since our wedding, we have never slept over any quarrel. We agree to disagree and we disagree to agree. My spouse is very loving and caring. Tinuke is very frank to a fault, wise, ingenious, highly enterprising and courageous. We are made for each other.”

The point of emphasis of Rev. Adeya’s ministrations while on earth was: “Total consecration is a necessary condition for our manifestation as believers. Nevertheless, the foundation of the Lord standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knows those that are His and everyone that nameth the name of the Lord must depart from iniquity(1 Timothy 2: 9)”.

Meanwhile, arrangements for the burial events of the departed church Founder and General Overseer of the Endtime Body of Christ Ministries have begun.

According to Barrister Tomi Adeya-Adeyinka, one of his children who hinted newsmen on behalf of the family, the burial dates have been fixed for November 13 and 14, 2025.

The family enjoined all friends, associates, church members and the body of Christ generally to await more specific details about the funeral programme in the coming weeks and months.
