Medical Store Administrators Induct Pioneer Members, Warn Against Sharp Practices

 

In line with its core mandate, the Institute of Medical Store Administrators of Nigeria over the weekend inducted its pioneer members with a call on them to embrace high professionalism, integrity, and the ethos of the allied medical profession.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of IMSAN, Mr Akinwunmi Samuel, made this call during the induction ceremony and the inauguration of the institute’s national executive held in Abeokuta.

He urged the inducted members to contribute significantly to the growth and development of the profession.

He noted that the institute plays a pivotal role in promoting excellence in the management of medical stores, ensuring that healthcare facilities receive high-quality products and services.

The Registrar further stated that members should prioritise professionalism and uphold high standards of ethics and conduct in medical store administration.

Samuel advised medical Store personnel against dereliction of duties, unethical and sharp practices, warning that sanctions would be imposed on violators of rules and regulations of the Association.

“We have created a professional body that will contribute to the activities of medical store administrators in Nigeria,”.

“I am confident that our inducted members will contribute significantly to the growth and development of our profession.

“The Institute of Medical Store Administrators plays a vital role in promoting excellence in the management of medical stores, ensuring that healthcare facilities receive high-quality products and services.”

The newly inaugurated national executive members are: Omolaran Adenike Mercy, National President; Ahmed Abubakar Sadiq, National Secretary; and Awosola Amos Olusoga, National Financial Secretary/Treasurer.

The inaugurated Lagos executive members comprise Mr Ademola Adelu, Chairman; Mr Oyatoye Jide, General Secretary; and Mr Awosola Olusoga, Financial Secretary/Treasurer.

Mr Akinwunmi Samuel, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Medical Store Administrators of Nigeria, spoke during the maiden induction of professional members of the institute on Saturday in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital
