Turnah who doubles as the South-South zonal Secretary of the Party pleaded with the sacked appointees to be steadfast in what they believe in, noting that politics without bitterness should be their watchword in their political journey.

It would be recalled that penultimate week the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri was alleged to have sacked some of his appointees over allegations of having attended a rally organized by a Pro-Wike group, the ‘New Associates’ in Yenagoa, capital of the State.

Our Correspondent reports that during the meeting Turnah urged the appointees to remain strong and resilient, assuring them that ‘this challenging period would pass’.

He expressed gratitude for their contributions to the Prosperity Administration and pledged to sustain them during their trying times.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the meeting, the Party Chieftain noted thus: “The meeting was aimed at boosting the morale of the sacked appointees and to demonstrate the party’s commitment to supporting members.

“This meeting underscores the PDP’s dedication to its members and appointees”.
