2027: Ebonyi APC task Stakeholders to support Gov. Nwifuru

Ngwuta Chinedu, Abakaliki

The Chairman, All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ebonyi State, Stanley Okoro-Emegha, has appealed to all leaders of the party to join forces with Governor Francis Nwifuru to promote and deepen the spread of the party in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chief Emegha made the appeal at Ezilo, Headquarters of Ishielu Local Goverment Council while addressing Ward and Local Executive Committee members of the party.

He said the duty of promoting the party should not be left for the Governor and the State Working Committee members alone, noting that it’s time for all true leaders and members of the party to show their commitment and prove their loyalty to the party.

He condemned what he described as the non-challant attitude of some APC leaders at the grassroot level, and called for immediate attitudinal change to enable the party retain it’s place in the heart of the people.

He also berated those he said were only interested in what they would gain from the party, without showing any commitment to the progress and advancement of the party in their various wards and local government areas.

He commended the leader of the party and Governor of the state, His Excellency, Francis Nwifuru, for running an inclusive and people-oriented administration that prioritised the people’s welfare.

He explained that Governor Nwifuru has positioned the party for comprehensive victories in future elections through his massive infrastructural and human capital development across the state.

He directed them to commence wards meetings and sensitization visits in their wards and localities to enable them understand their areas of challenges and strengths ahead of 2027.

He said “we started this sensitization tour because we learnt that some of you have absconded from your duty posts, some have travelled outside the state or have left the party, but are still receiving our money, and other benefits from the party. That is not good. That is why we have decided to hold this meeting, to ascertain your level of commitment and dedication and take appropriate actions.

“At the end, those who are doing well will be given another opportunity, even bigger ones in the future. But those who have abandon their duties, yet continue to eat our money, we will not allow it. This party is bigger than one person. We must move forward with or without you. So I beg those of you who are not doing their duties to change their ways ”
