The Party described the action of the Senate as behemoth, lack in foresight and integrity calling on the Senate to revisit their actions
“ADC Ogun State led by Dr Femi Soluade agrees that “Lack of Human Management that is supposed to be the hallmark of leadership in the Senate has brought our country to unnecessary ridicule in the international community vis-a-vis the report by Senator Natasha-Udiaghan at the Inter-parliamentary Union in the United Nation in the far away US.
“We cannot expect a child that is badly beaten not to cry to high heaven, it is disgusting and disappointing that women folks who had the privilege of holding Senate position at the instance of their Constituency and the Nation previously and presently abandoned and are now talking down on one of their own,”
He said ‘women has a sacred place in the society and they are the ingredients and superlative appetisers for successful democracy anywhere in the world especially as our narcent democracy is gaining stability by the sacrifices of leaders of good conscience.
“There have been shouting matches , tearing of clothes, throwing of Chairs and “Ben Johnson” scaling of Fence and all this did not attract sanctions as it is severely handed down to Natasha.
“Sexual Harassment is a grave allegation to ordinary man on the street not to talk of number three citizen of the country who had previously endured same allegation at the NDDC office while he held sway even though he is presume innocent until court determined otherwise.
“Our Party believes that the leadership and committee on ethics and privileges who has been alleged to have sordid past and integrity tainted profile should have been circumspect in dealing with this unfortunate issue especially because of issue of prejudice, as the matter was already in court and the purported close-knit family relationship and the exalted position held by the Senate president and avoid this avoidable crisis already snowballing to unimaginable descent which is panacea to precipice that may further dent our image internationally and bring our democracy to its kneel.
The Party said it “joins well meaning Nigerians of good conscience to demand for reinstatement of Senator Natasha and return of all her privileges unjustly denied her in the in the interim while justice takes it’s course and we equivocally called on the President of Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the father of the nation to quickly wade in and intensify efforts to save our democracy, preserve our national integrity and further damage to what is left of our national Honor which is already in taters and preserve our country’s dignity among the comity of Nations.
