The Ogun State Commissioner for Housing, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, has expressed his condolences to the Minister of State for Health, Iziaq Kunle Salako, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Fadilat Salako, who died at the age of 95.

The Minister’s mother had died on March 5 and was buried on March 6 in accordance with the Islamic rites.

Omoniyi, however, in a statement he personally signed on Friday, described the death of the late Alhaja Fadilat Salako, as a loss, not only to the Salako’s Family in Ayetoro, but the entire Yewa North Local Government Area.

The Commissioner noted that though late Alhaja Salako died at the ripe age of 95, her life dedicated to humanity, community service and devoted life to Islam will continue to linger in the memories of the people.

Omoniyi further pointed out that she will be sorely missed by her children, family members, Ayetoro and the entire Yewa North, while her exemplary and humane lifestyle will continue to serve as a moral compass for the people.

While saying that the exit of Alhaja Salako was painful, the Commissioner urged the Minister not to mourn her passing, but be consoled with the fact that she lived a life devoted to Allah and upliftment of humanity.

He equally urged the Minister to take solace in the accomplished children Mama left behind, stressing that she was a caring mother and loving, who strived for the betterment of her family.

Omoniyi, however, prayed that the Almighty Allah will grant Madam Salako eternal rest and admit her into the perpetual bliss of Aljanah Firdaus.

He further prayed that Allah will give the Salako Family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
