A man was ass@ulted and st@bbed with a broken beer bottle during a dispute with his girlfriend in South Africa.

The incident happened at Area 1, Mhlasini – KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 11:14.

On arrival, Reaction Officers met with the male who explained that his girlfriend failed to return home on Saturday night. When she arrived the next morning, he questioned her about her whereabouts. A heated argument followed during which the female allegedly grabbed a beer bottle and began assaulting her partner.

The bottle burst during the assault.

The suspect then stabbed the man in his shoulder and arm with the broken bottle. She thereafter fled the scene. The injured male declined to register a criminal case and sought medical assistance privately
